Many times during the enlostment process, the applicant will be asked "... Expunged or not..." A lot of times applocanrs come in, and if not a single chare that os disqualifying, but a combo that makes them DQ. However, if the decision to enlist them honges on that charge it is not fully exponged. The individual must submit a expongement order copy to local, state and federal agencies and that point of contact information may be obtained through the court. It does not just fo away by itself. I had a charge that was exponged and never had an issue with enlistment or obtaining my security clearance.
