Denise Woods 5118557 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Question from a mom,<br />My son graduated BCT 7/25 and now at AIT for 15W. His security clearance wasn’t completed while at BCT so, he was put on hold. He is now a month and a half in. Can he be deployed while in AIT especially with him being so early into training? Thank you. Can someone be deployed while still in 15W AIT? 2019-10-12T11:43:42-04:00 Denise Woods 5118557 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Question from a mom,<br />My son graduated BCT 7/25 and now at AIT for 15W. That&#39;s not how it works. Your son will stay and complete his required training. No Soldier will EVER deploy without first learning their specific craft. And even then, with the exception to a few job skills, Soldiers almost never deploy in ones and twos. Always with a unit. Which is one more reason why your son won&#39;t deploy from AIT. I&#39;m not sure who told you this is a possibility, but they are wrong. A few weeks before he graduates he should know his unit that he will be going to. Once he knows his unit it should be relatively essy to look up an estimate of his deployment schedule. (Which very well could be as soon as he gets there) I&#39;ve have only heard of one case of deployment direct from AIT Specific to 15W (This was at the start of the Iraq invasion) The class became an entire platoon. Students finish all of their AIT were given 11B NCOs to fill their ranks and 2 students (one of which told me this story, Jason Glen) were selected for Instructor school before they left, to complete the PLT needs. At that time the Army was very short on TUAS and an occurance like this is very unlikely to happen again.
