What advice do you have for someone who was sent to the promotion board a little too early and wasn't given promotable status? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-someone-help-me-with-a-promotion-board-eligibility-question

Hello, I am looking for some advice on if and how to fix a situation.

A little background: I am prior service and at the time in question was 31 months TIS. I was promoted to SPC on December 13, 2024.

I was allowed to go to our NTC field board on April 20, 2025, but after a month back, my orderly room told me that I went to the board 16 days too early and was not given my promotable status. After reading AR 600-8-19 I read that a commander can allow a soldier to attend the board as long as they are in their secondary zone (16mo TIS, 4mo TIG). If this is correct, then shouldn't I have been just within the secondary zone? I was not given any board proceedings. Is there any way to fight this, or even get the board proceedings to prove TIS/TIG eligibility? The PCR is sent to the CDR, and anyone highlighted as SZ must be approved by the CDR. Since you were not identified as SZ, and erroneously included in the board under PZ (my assumption), they deemed you ineligible for consideration because they never got approval from the CDR to consider you in SZ. The CDR could go back and have the PAC redo all the paperwork, but most likely, they will wait until the next PCR and make sure you are included as PZ (given that you were 16 days early, the next PCR should have you on it in PZ).
They will probably wait because all the board data is due in two days (on the 26th). I spoke with my S1 and since I am in my PZ now, the CMD has authorized them to put my proceedings from April with the proceedings coming up this month and give me my P status.
