Can someone look over my records and give me some advice? Comments, good or bad, are welcome. I have AIT PLT SGT, Recruiting (Gold Badge),Sr Mechanic, Shop Foreman, Motor Sergeant, Battle Staff, 1SG/Commanders course, last three NCOER's 1/1's, two before that 2/1 as a new SFC. I busted my tail to finish my associates degree (32 credit in 1 year) while working my landsaping business and exceeding standards in my unit as a Plt Sgt/Motor Sergeant. I went and talked to my branch at Ft Knox and was told the only thing they see is maybe i need diversity since I have been to Ft Campbell 4 times and the rest is overseas (Korea 3 yrs 3 units and Hohenfels, Germany 3 yrs) and Recruiting. 5 yrs Plt Sgt time. No deragatory information in my records. My PFT Score over the last 3 yrs has avg about 265-270 which for me isn't bad considering I have had 9 potentially career ending surgeries (2 neck, with titanium plates, 2 lower back, 1 R/Foot, 3 L/Foot w/nerve damage, and an umbilical hernia) let my permanent profile expire so I could raise the PLT AVG PT score. I dont have thousands of awards and only 1 deployment, which some how i dont understand going to Ft Cambell 4 times, just cant get in the right unit at the right time. My question is can someone look over my records and give me some advice, good or bad is welcome. Thanks in advance. Based on the resume that you provided, you seem pretty solid. How many did the Board select for MSG in your MOS this year? How many were considered? Sometimes it is the promotion numbers themselves that place a stranglehold on the selection of good NCOs to the next rank, not what is or is not in a file. I'm on global and would be happy to give you some feedback. 1SG Steven Stankovich Sun, 17 May 2015 05:23:21 -0400 2015-05-17T05:23:21-04:00 Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made May 17 at 2015 7:55 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-someone-look-over-my-records-and-give-me-some-advice-comments-good-or-bad-are-welcome-thanks-in-advance?n=674439&urlhash=674439

SFC Private RallyPoint Member I would also be happy to look at them. Everything sounds like you are a stand up NCO. Can I suggest you tag CSM in this post also maybe that will attract a few to also look. I am on global. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 17 May 2015 07:55:24 -0400 2015-05-17T07:55:24-04:00 2015-05-17T00:08:37-04:00
