Can someone please give a review on my WOFT application Resume Summary?

My passion to become a soldier in the U.S. Army started at a young age. My Father answered the call of duty in 2002 when I was just five years old. Growing up on military bases made me appreciate those who chose to serve our country. I looked up to the men and women walking around in uniform. I teared up watching white buses full of service members return home from combat being escorted by motorcades ensuring no red lights delayed the reuniting of a family. I looked up to my Father for all the sacrifices he made. I realized when I was young this job was not for everyone, and I thought to myself if not me, then who? I wanted to be a soldier.

I believe that I am a great soldier. I push myself physically and mentally to be better than I was the day before. I make a point to shoot expert on the weapons range. I make sure to outperform my peers when it comes to PT. I listen to my superiors, and do much more than what is expected of me. My military career may not be long, but I believe I have a performance record to show I am capable of much more. I was chosen as the Soldier of the Cycle at basic training. I won a brigade board and the Iron Soldier Award at AIT. I was recognized as a great leader and hard worker on the COVID response team with an Army Achievement Medal. I am ready and qualified to take the next step in my military career, becoming a Warrant Officer.

I will make a great Warrant Officer Aviator. My job experience comes from heavy equipment operation. I know operating heavy equipment comes nowhere close to flying a helicopter in a combat zone, but I have expertise with the fundamentals of flying my competition do not have. I have not had the opportunity to control a helicopter, but I do have the experience and natural ability to operate a machine or vehicle with surgeon like precision while constantly assessing my work area for potential hazards. When a tough task is at hand I am the guy they call on. I am the best at what I do, and I want to bring my skills and qualifications to the test by becoming a Warrant Officer Aviator.

There is no right answer to the summary. It’s your personal summary of who you are and what you bring to the table, and that’s what you wrote. Only comment I have is always capitalize Soldier, best of luck on your submission.

Your resume leaves a lot to be desired. There's nothing wrong with the first paragraph, but the second and third have a lot of filler and wordiness that could be done away with. The resume is important, but so is the rest of USAREC 3.2. I'd be happy to take a look at it if you're interested in my critique. Send me a DM.
