Can someone receive unemployable, 100% compensation, and SS retirement benefits at the same time?

1) receive unemployable benefit AND Social Security retirement (at age 62), and 2) or does the veteran have to wait until age 67 to receive FRB from SS, and 3) does the unemployable benefit end when the veteran files for retirement benefits from SS?

You can receive both - they are completely independent of each other.

TDIU is situationally based, so it doesn't have an age limit on it*. If the veteran's condition doesn't improve to the point they could maintain 'substantially gainful employment", regardless of their age, then TDIU will remain in place.

If the veteran (in case it's not you) is rated as TDIU from the VA, is there a reason the individual didn't apply for SSDI from the SSA?

Yes. Get the VA 100% then apply for SS based on VA rating.

Yes, one can get 100% TDIU and SSDI simultaneously without any offset. SSDI converts to regular SSA retirement at one's full retirement age say age 67. I am 100% TDIU T&P with SMC (L) and SSDI adds up to over $6000 a month. My SSDI turns into SSA retirement at age 67. Go for both as it is worth it. And to question 3 the answer is no.

As long as the veteran continues to meet the criteria for unemployability, they can continue to receive these benefits, even if they also receive Social Security retirement benefits. https://strandspuzzle.com

I am drawing SSD (since age 51 yo) until I turn 67 plus 8 months, at which time I will draw more SS, as in full retirement benefit. I also draw a service-connected percentage of VA Comp. SSD and VA have no bearing on each other. Only my federal civil service retirement is lowered each time my SSD / FRB increases. I haven't been able to acquire TDIU, even with a veterans attorney before the CAVC. This article states that your TDIU continue regardless of retirement age / amount: Based on 1). inability to maintain substantive employment, and 2). you depend upon your VA Comp for substantial support.

both are separate entities answer yes. i have ssdi and v.a. disability. some states tax social security benefits but 13 states do not florida being one that does not.
