If you miss an item, you get dropped from the course. The school had one last inspection after the end of the 12 mile ruck march and a few Soldiers didn't pass after all that time. They modified or missed items on the final inspection. We were the first class in 2007 when the DIV CSM had us wear the IOTV with plates.
