Can SRU/WTB NCO's be promoted?

I’m trying to figure out if NCOs have been recommend for promotion or receive promotion while in SRU/WTB.

Why not, soldiers were either wounded, ill and injured. Yes they should get promotions.

As long as the Soldier hasn't been recommended for MEB they should still be qualified for promotion.

From my experience, as long as their records aren’t ‘flagged’, soldiers are promotable (of course that was back in 83-87 when I was NCOIC of Enlisted Promotions). IMHO, SFC Private RallyPoint Member is one of your best sources of information when it involves Army Regulations!

Yes, I was Cadre at a WTU, and Soldiers were promoted.
