I believe it will because we're deploying soldiers to the Ukrainian- Russian borders to assist Ukrain against Russian military! Listen to this Professor of Contitutional Law at Harvard and not the echo chamber of the left: Although many on the left have expressed their approval of Robert Mueller being appointed as special counsel to investigate possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, Alan Dershowitz thinks Mueller could actually vindicate President Donald Trump, rather than bring about his downfall.

On "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Dershowitz, a legal scholar and Harvard University Law School professor, said he doesn't see a crime that necessitated the appointment of a special counsel.

He explained that it would not be criminal, even if it happened, for the Trump campaign to have collaborated with the Russians in an effort to get their candidate elected.

"That's political wrongdoing, but it's just not a crime," Dershowitz said. "Nobody can point me to a statute that would be violated. And a prosecutor is only allowed to look for evidence of a federal crime."

He said that he predicts the end result will be Mueller announcing no evidence of a crime, which would obviously be beneficial to Trump.

Dershowitz said the worst-case scenario for the White House would be that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn gets indicted, but even if that were to happen, Trump could pardon him.

"It's going to be done in secret, behind closed doors, and all we get in the end is no indictment or a lower-level former official gets indicted," Dershowitz said. "And I think in the end that helps the Trump administration, not hurts them."

The question is pretty hard to answer because there are so very many variables. "Watergate" is short hand for pretty much any scandal, so in that light, it is a Watergate already. The question is does whatever is uncovered rise to an impeachable offense? The House of Reps decides matters of impeachment. Bill Clinton was impeached, but not enough votes for a trial in the Senate. In the present case there are a number of potential concerns, obstruction of justice, the emoluments clause, lying under oath (assuming he takes an oath and answers questions) and others. How serious do those violations have to be to warrant a trial in the Senate? Who can say, we've never seen it happen in our lifetimes. This is a tangle to be certain and the entire matter will capture the attention of Washington and probably the world because other countries watch us closely. Most Americans have no recollection of the Watergate hearings and not too many remember Iran-Contra, but a lot of folks remember "that woman, Miss Lewinsky." These things happen because politics is a convoluted and ugly business. America will survive.

Well, if by that you mean can it turn into a national distraction that will disrupt our government for a protracted period of time, then Yes, clearly. If it means "Will the President be forced to resign" different answer. The Congress might impeach him (like they did Clinton and some others) but I doubt the Senate would order a trial for his removal. Nixon resigned to avoid further disgrace and when it was clear to him he had no friends left in the house. Trump strikes me more of a "Götterdämmerung " type, willing to let it metaphorically all burn down. The big winners from all this are the Russians. He tried to get cozy with him and then he didn't and he made some inopportune comments about them that they won't soon forget. He is still useful to them so they are now enjoying him being under investigation. I'd imagine it would be in their national interest to help keep this scandal going.

Her campaign received donations amounting to more than $675,000 from former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe's political organization and from the Democratic Party of Virginia. In July 2015, the FBI initiated its investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server. LTC Padron, Sir; Trump's Russian connection, whether by self or by family, or by Party, is well-documented by the media. Be-laboring this point would be fruitless, because it would be like asking whether COL Oliver North was involved in the Iran-Contra Affair.

Whether or not the aforementioned political connection is grounds for impeachment of the sitting President depends on the preponderance of the evidence. It would be improper to judge any case in absence of evidence.

However; generally speaking, impeachment of the sitting President is possible, like Watergate was for Nixon. Evidence is required.

It has been over a year since the investigation started and nothing -- absolutely nothing even approaching evidence of impropriety with regard to contact between the Trump campaign and the Russians has been uncovered. This whole thing has been a colossal waste of time and money. The alleged collusion isn't there, and the only guys with charges were guys with previous fishy actions (Manafort, Page). Flynn lied about conversations he has during the transition for no reason because they were legal (but that's only known because democrats were surveilling him).

Politics and/or politicians have become so corrupt, and so many lies have been told that we are now at a point where it no longer matters. Will we ever see or hear the truth? Is hearing secrets about the Clinton's new news or old news? Bill lied about Monica, Hilary lied about Benghazi, and Obama lied about almost anything he chose to. The election process is flawed and has been for a great deal of my life. As a former soldier I don't serve one man, but a nation of people and a system of beliefs I agree with. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution, the Declaration of Independence is what I signed up to defend not a "career politician." Politicians usually (most of the time) have a law degree, when you think about it lawyers are paid liars. We have in our midst a "business man whom has been very successful, my hope is he can do the same for our country. The polls didn't show Trump as being able to win and for those who were alive during Watergate Nixon was already in office when he allowed the break-ins. Eventually he fessed up and resigned; however, "Slick Willy" denied his involvement on national TV. There is more Drama in our political system then on any daytime soap. Change the station or turn it off, the only way to avoid getting caught up in the drama.

Given that the Mueller investigation is a black box of information, we have no real way to ascertain the validity of this claim. More than likely, this investigation will uncover the doings of numerous players in a variety of ways such as embezzlement, violation of sanctions and / or illegal campaign contributions. Trump may or may not be directly linked, but if he is as smart as his fans claim, he more than likely ensured plausible deniability. The issue we should all be concerned with is not only our reputation of fair and free elections, but the potential for bad actors, both privately funded and funded by nefarious governments to pervert the truth and inject suspicion, mistrust and ideas of the mythical 'deep state' into our culture.

First order of business is to inform all my fellow Brothers and Sisters it's not okay to insult and degrade each other over Politics or to be so attached to a Political Party we forget about the Big Picture and that's a Free and Equal America for all Citizens. Yes to agree to disagree is a good thing but throwing out insults to fellow Veterans Officers and Enlisted is not acceptable to me as a Retired SNCO. We are the ones who stand on that wall and we can not do it without each other so suggest getting ready if you're already not to keep on protecting America for the promise of Liberty, Life, and Pursuit of Happiness! The media and others have been dividing us Americans for years and Wall Street doesn't give a crap about any of us unless we've got hundreds of Millions or Billions. We're the ones they call to clean up crap because most of them don't want to get their hands dirty or hang out with the Bottom Feeders. Also many are just plain scared or chicken shit but they'll cut programs and deny many Veterans earned benefits. They'll also take from the Poor and Elderly and cause many to decide between rent or paying for heat each month! So even if the President gets Impeached or Resigns how will things change or get economically better for average Americans like ourselves....many Retired on Pension or serving overseas in Combat Operations. Once you get wounded, hurt, sick, and separate or retire you'll see how much those at the top really give a crap about the average American. Like I said have no opinion either way but do think Leadership is lacking in the current Administration but our jobs last time I looked was to support the Commander and Chief and protect and enforce our Constitution. If the Constitution gets violated or if someone tries to becoming a Dictator. If that ever happens every single last one of us must decided where we stand. Just remember to love each other because we all took an oath to never leave a Brother or Sister behind....no matter what!

I voted "Yes" but would have preferred a "maybe" option. The truth is, we don't know at this point whether it will or won't. "Can" it? Of course, "can the world live peacefully together" is also a possible yes, but not likely. If the evidence shows Trump Party collusion the answer is yes. If the evidence can't show that, then no it likely won't.

In 2022, since Hillary Clinton's campaign funded the discredited Steele Dossier, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has POTUS Biden is not confronting Russian President Vlad Putin, POTUS Biden refused to agree with Poland sending MIG aircraft to Ukraine because he is afraid that Putin would consider that a cause for war. Joe Biden seems to Neville Chamberlain for 2022 :-)
