He is less the 80 days from his DEROS. Can his levy packet be held for this reason. Can the unit hold your levy packet if you are put on a temporary profile?2020-11-04T21:18:48-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member6469351<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a soldier who was told since he is on a temporary profile that his levy packet can not be sent. I understand there is some cultural differences but in the Corps you can’t get/execute orders if you aren’t on full duty. If there is an issue/injury/illness or some other factor that could negatively impact assignment there could be a delay to ensure checks and balances are in place and everything is kosher. <br /><br />It’s not a binary issue because like I said, it depends on the situation. But it’s possible.Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Nov 4 at 2020 9:29 PM2020-11-04T21:29:55-05:002020-11-04T21:29:55-05:00SGM Bill Frazer6469525<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If he is not able to do his job, they can call branch to hold it. After all if he can work here, what is he suppose to do at the next unit. I would cuss REPL out when I got a trooper that couldn't train with us due to profiles, particularly if you work/train in 9 week cycles.Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Nov 4 at 2020 11:13 PM2020-11-04T23:13:56-05:002020-11-04T23:13:56-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member6469570<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Only a p3 or higher can stop a PCSResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 4 at 2020 11:37 PM2020-11-04T23:37:24-05:002020-11-04T23:37:24-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6469690<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your unit is not holding his levy. The levy packet requires the medical provider certify that the SM is medically available. If they are not, then the 5118 will not be signed. If the SM is not medically available to move, the provider will not certify that they are.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 5 at 2020 2:08 AM2020-11-05T02:08:07-05:002020-11-05T02:08:07-05:002020-11-04T21:18:48-05:00
