SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5908272 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a question I&#39;m an E4 with 18 months left on my contract. My question is can they chapter me for failing a test being this close to ets. I was told that I was gonna take said test and if I fail then I will be given another opportunity to take it again. If I fail the second one then they will give me a bar once that is in place I have 180 days to have it removed or else they will start the chapter. What I want to know is what chapter could I receive and can they chapter me. Because by the time everything is done it would only cut me short 6 months From my original ets date. I&#39;m asking cause I need your knowledge in this issue. Thanks !! Can they chapter me for failing a test 18 months from ets? 2020-05-18T22:58:51-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5908272 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a question I&#39;m an E4 with 18 months left on my contract. If it is thew AFPT/ACFT, then damn straight they can on a 2 failure, regardless how close it is to your ETS. Failing those mean 1. Not much of a soldier. 2, Failed to live you to your part of the contract. So better get the lead out kid. If you get chaptered out and then at some later time you decide that you want to serve again you will have a harder time going back in than if you just ETSed with an RE-1. You may not think that you would want to rejoin, but there are a lot veterans who thought the same thing and many of them ended up going back on active duty or in the reserves/guard. Just pass the test. Yes. Will they? I suppose that depends on whether you&#39;re a stud or dud. If they feel like you&#39;re playing games because you don&#39;t care/are about to ETS, it might spur them on to be a bit passionate with the processing of your paperwork<br />If you&#39;re a stud that kicks ass every day and makes their life easier? I actually had to chapter a soldier for APFT failures and he was at about 6 months to ETS. For whatever reason, they can chapter you up to the day you ETS.
