<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It varies based on post policies. You probably have a contractor CAC and can see IF that works.LTC Eugene ChuTue, 12 Mar 2019 18:25:07 -04002019-03-12T18:25:07-04:00Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Mar 12 at 2019 6:38 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You will have to ask whomever you are contracted to. Generally the answer would be no, unless retired. Each base has there own rules. Thank you for your service.CSM Darieus ZaGaraTue, 12 Mar 2019 18:38:15 -04002019-03-12T18:38:15-04:00Response by SGT Aaron Rippee made Mar 12 at 2019 7:31 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not sure what any of your tags have to do with the question. If it is Army, go to the FMWR's website for that post and look up the eligibility rules. Unless you are a retiree, contractors may be ineligible. The base should have somewhere on their website hat describes eleigibility for MWR facilities.<br /><br />This is FT Jackson's eligibility. <a target="_blank" href="https://global.armymwr.com/us/eligible-patrons">https://global.armymwr.com/us/eligible-patrons</a><br /><br />You have to confirm with the staff. AAFES are the only ones offering patronage to veterans. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You should be able to use the gym IF you still retain an ID card. Most that get out are still in either a reserve or IRR status and retain their card while under contract still. Being a veteran does not grant you any special status other than serving your country. Check with the gym as they should have a guideline as to who can and cannot use the facility. Additionally check with MWR for that base or post. These things tend to vary by base/post.SSG Brian G.Tue, 12 Mar 2019 21:05:32 -04002019-03-12T21:05:32-04:00Response by SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 13 at 2019 6:48 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I can't speak to every contractor or every post. But I know the contractors we trained at CRC going overseas on Fort Bliss were able to use the Gym and everything on base once they received there CAC card.SFC(P) Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 13 Mar 2019 06:48:07 -04002019-03-13T06:48:07-04:00Response by SSG Michael Taylor made Mar 13 at 2019 1:47 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>While med-ret on my end, if you go in and act like you belong nobody will bother you. On FT Carson, the gyms are empty outside of PT hours and 1530-1800...if there is nobody actively checking IDs, get your swole on mate.SSG Michael TaylorWed, 13 Mar 2019 13:47:16 -04002019-03-13T13:47:16-04:00Response by SSG (ret) William Martin made Mar 13 at 2019 9:30 PM
