Unfortunately, the scanning of emails has been going on for years, Google, for example, uses your email contents to tailor advertisements towards your interests. I had heard that email providers scanned emails in an attempt to stop spam. Yahoo had a system where once an email was marked as spam a certain number of times its contents were scanned and any other messages within its system that matched were automatically moved to the spam folder.

I'm not sure how much I can trust something coming from infowars.com. But if it is true, I don't see how Verizon could strip attachments and URL's, unless the email is going to a verizon.com email address. That would be possible. I don't see how they could strip those same things from a Third-party email address (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) one may have linked to their Smartphone.

If it is all true though, one more reason to NOT use Verizon as your service provider!

I don't trust info wars either. But there seems to be some of the validity to this particular story.
