Can you get put out for RCP (enlisted) and come back in as an Officer?

We have a Subject Matter Expert, SGM Quick, that is probably best qualified to answer this scenario. It would seem very unlikely that an individual would possess the resume required of an officer if they were unable to continue to get promoted as an enlisted Soldier, that's not to say it is not possible however, if I were on a selection committee, I would not recommend an individual that failed to progress to become an officer as that is not the officer I would want in front of a platoon or company.

I think it depends on what other circumstances there are. Also will it be through ROTC, West Point, OCS, or direct commission? Any other derogatory items on his or her record?
