I am wondering if anyone here has done both, back to back...or if you know of anyone who has done both assignments, one after another. TIA. Can you go from Recruiting to Drill Sergeant? 2019-02-23T13:54:15-05:00 4394438

I am currently a detailed recruiter and I am starting to think about my next assignment. Not recommended by branch, but yes you can go from TDA unit toTDA unit or broadening assignment to broadening assignment.

As of right now, there's a big push for recruiters and Drills. I recall him having the gold badge, so I assume he was a productive recruiter. It didn't put him ahead of his peers, and may have put him a couple of years behind, but I didn't know his entire story.
5 years is a long time away from your PMOS. I understand that DS duty is now considered PSG time if previous posts I read are correct, and you may be assigned to the training center for your PMOS, which may help with a follow on assignment. I yield to the SNCOs in your PMOS, and results of the recent promotion boards, though. But perhaps with some time in between to go back to do a tour of duty and go out for another broadening assignment. At least that’s what I have done. From an OSUT infantry drill sergeant 2012-2014 to now an AIT instructor 2017-present.
