Can you go to a Ranger battalion as a 19D?

I am a 19-d Cav scout and i have always wanted to be in a ranger regiment. I just want to know what options I have to get to a regiment from my position. I have been told that i can go to ranger school and that will qualify me as a 11b and then I could go to RASP after that. I have also been told that they dont take scouts and there is no way to do it and also that there are a few slots for scouts for RASP however they are hard to get. Just looking for some clear answers. Just to clarify I am asking about RASP and ranger regiments NOT ranger school.

When they say qualify you as 11B, they mean that you can Reclass into 11B without additional training once you are Ranger qualified.
75th doesn't have Scouts because they have their own reconnaissance company.

I’m from the pre 1990’s 3/75 Ranger Bn and while I am clear on what you are asking I don’t have a relevant answer for today’s Ranger Regt and how your question can be answered. I do know that you need to ask this question to Regimental Hq and ask for the point of contact for your specific question/ concern . I am certain they have Rangers there capable of giving you up to date information. That is my suggestion .

I had a CPL during my first deployment that was attached to 75th for a while before he came to us... I have absolutely no clue how or why he was with them but he was authorized patches from all sorts of SOF units. Sidenote: Recon!

1, Practically any MOS can go to Ranger School. 2. The Regiment, as far as I ever heard have NO CAV , and therefore no reason to accept any 19 series MOS's. The scouts they have last I saw with 11B's who received scout/sniper training.
