A job I am applying for civilian side requires a SSBI. Can I have both titles of SCI and SSBI, or will this down grade me?

So BLUF, am I making a mistake with going for this job that requires a SSBI? Can you have both SCI and SSBI? 2019-05-17T16:36:14-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4644649

I currently hold a TS/SCI with the U.S. Army Reserves which I need for my job. Now called a T5 investigation. This is done and sent to the adjudicators (CAF) who determines your SCI eligibility.

Because you have the clearance already, you qualify for that portion of the job. An SSBI/T5 May also just be TS, but you are still solid. You would have two users in JPAS (their system for tracking your clearance). One for CIV, one for RES. For each one you would have he needed accesses for that particular job.

So no, it will not downgrade you. You’re good. The SSBI is expensive which I doubt the army is going to spend the time and money for your personal interest civilian job.
