Can you help me with an ASU inspection on 05 Dec?

Being an E2, the only time I've worn my ASU's was for OSUT graduation, if any of you guys would give me tips or advice or even pictures on how to properly set up my ASU's, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

This is your NCOs job, however first off, make sure they are at the dry cleaners. Even if you get them back by Wednesday you will have time to put them together.
I don't have a photo, but 670-1 is a public regulation you can download. Cross rifles are on the left lapel and US on the right. Blue cord on the right shoulder. Unit crests on the shoulder, centered. Hope this helps a little bit.

Awards on the left of the uniform are 1/8 in above pocket any badges (CIB, air born etc.) are 1/4 in above awards; qualification badges centered on the pocket above the button on the left name plate is centered on the pocket above the button, unit awards are 1/8 in above pocket, unit crest 1/4 above unit awards. Unit crest on the shoulders are centered on the flap of fabric the US disk is centered on the lapel (I believe) a half in from the notch and the bottom edge of the letters face down the lapel crossed rifles are the same on the other side. There is a uniform guide you can get that has all the information and a measuring tool also there is another ruler I have found to be extremely helpful. Once you have the uniform set up ask your team leader to check it before inspection. One more thin make sure your awards and unit awards are in the right order the book shows the order in the back

Crack open AR 670-1, it will tell you everything you need to know. If you need a copy of it go to apd.army.mil and download it. Additionally, you should reach out to your team leader for further guidance as you may be required to wear some unit awards you may not have on hand and possibly to meet with him early (prior to first formation at drill) to give your uniform a once over.

PV2 Private RallyPoint Member, good for you for having the guts to ask, the intestinal fortitude to seek guidance and the personal courage to do so publicly so that you are prepared for your inspection! There are only two references you will need to set up your uniform and I will share a link to them both. Take your time setting up your uniform and be proud everytime you get to wear it!

I have a tip for you that will benefit you your entire career. Pull up AR 670-1. All the uniform guidelines are in there. There are pictures too. You can down load to your desk top. Also, your unit normally has photos / posters of Soldiers in uniform for reference. In addition , contact your first line leader. Squad leader or even platoon SGT. They will be happy to square you away. These tips will help you no matter who is or isn't around to help you out.

hello little brother sorry but i never got issued ASU's in my day we got issued Class A's dress green's but our drill instructor's taught us how to wear the uniform's of my time witch was BDU's & the Class A's witch never changed during my time. in the 1980's / 1981 to 1987 so when i do Veteran things that is what i wear and they are slightly modified as not to be mistaken for an active duty. or a stolen valor scumbag. & i carry my DD-214 & my NGB-22 just in case i need to Verify my self. because there are a lot of stolen valor scumbags out there that have no right to wear any Military uniform. so it is good of you to find out the correct way to wear your uniform. & best of luck with your inspection on 05 Dec. i have my Veterans X-Mas party on 05 Dec.
