It will ultimately be needs of the Army. You are pipelined to BOLC and your first assignment based on anticipated needs.your dream sheet will inform branch which need is more desirable, or just say F it and send you somewhere else.

If you are a brand new LT, you need to get to a line unit and learn your craft as a PL. nom jobs will come later. WHCA etc are not on the board at that point. U derstand you have prior service but you will be learning another whole side of the Army.

Your second assignment will likely be via marketplace. More choice involved there, but you can only choose based on needs that are in need of fill. There are some Duty positions that go unfilled based on prioritization by HRC. So a vacancy doesn't always equal fillable assignment. LTC Jason Mackay Sun, 16 May 2021 23:39:31 -0400 2021-05-16T23:39:31-04:00 2021-05-16T20:33:15-04:00
