As long as you are still in the service you will get the bonus. The moment you are separated you do not. Ability to reenlist / get promoted do not factor in.

Unfortunately no. See AR 600-8-2, paragraph 3-1i - "A properly imposed Flag prohibits the following personnel actions unless otherwise specified in this regulation:...-Payment of enlistment bonus or selective reenlistment bonus (AR 601–280)."

I thought this reg only applied to new SRBs, not ones already being paid out.

The fine print should identify the stipulations imposes by a flag. Most Soldiers are now counseled on the impact of failing an APFT. MSgt Michael Smith

NG, USAR are a different horse, with that said in the regular' s PT failure is a chapter type offense. If you were flagged-1. no personnel actions are authorized. 2. You have failed your enlistment, so why should they pay you an enlistment bonus?
