If an NCO has qualified NCOERs can they still make the OML under the new promotion system?

I get the anxiety around this matter, but seek out one of your senior NCOs or tap in with a town hall held by Army G1. They answer a lot of these questions. If you have twitter, “Morgan at J-1” is super helpful and posts a lot of information. Even responds to DM. But I assure you, you’ll get the same info I’m telling you now (because I asked). The OML isn’t as big of a change as it sounds. Just do your research and you’ll see that you’re fine unless you violated policy or regulation. Even then, the leash is pretty long.
In the future, request your counselings and follow up with discrepancies prior to having to sign. NCOER ratings should not be a surprise. They are 99% of the time, but as you progress in rank, hopefully you’ll use this experience as a lesson on how important your job of counseling as a leader is.
Best of luck!
