Can you take prescriptions to AF BMT?

My friend is in the process of joining the Air Force. She asked if she’d be able to take her antidepressants with her since they’re legitimately prescribed. I’m on the army side so I obviously don’t know for sure. What would the process look like for her?

SPC Isaac Felan Has your friend talked to an Air Force Recruiter and informed him/her that she is currently taking antidepressants?

She will be disqualified and need a medical waiver (with approved medical documents) if she wants to get in only after being off her medication for I think a year. If she needs them and it was my friend I would suggest she do something else.

Before she raises her hand she had better be sure she has informed the recruiter that she is on this medication. Thank you for your service.
