AR 670-1 & DA PAM 670-1. Once you’ve done a little research come back here and let us know what you think. Some of the questions on RP are very simple to answer on your own if you just take the time to do some searching around. Best of luck. Unit tabs go with particular unit-shoulder-patches or SSI (Shoulder Sleeve Insignia), and you have to be in that particular unit to wear that particular patch. The caveat of course is the combat patch or SSI-FWTS (Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Former War Time Service), which, if it is one of these Airborne units, you can wear on your right sleeve (with attached Airborne tab) even if not currently in an Airborne unit.
