If you are stateside and PCSing stateside or overseas you’ll have 60 days early report authorized. If you are overseas then you’ll have to request a curtailment to leave before your DEROS date, so it all depends on your situation. How early are you trying to report?

From what I remember of PCS orders, they usually stipulate that "Early reporting is authorized". Unless you are on an overseas assignment, with an assigned DEROS, you may already be covered with early reporting.

Though HRC has that actual answer, having HRC approve it is mainly just administrative. If your current commander and battalion commander have agreed/signed off on it, its going to be approved and its now a waiting game for HRC approval. However, I will reiterate, you should call HRC to check on it.
