Chances for Prior Service in FY19 coming back AD? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/chances-for-prior-service-in-fy19-coming-back-ad <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Please respond if you just left a recruiting command or are a recruiter yourself or recently went through the process in the last few months. What are the chances of prior service coming back to AD. Currently in reserves and nearing my ETS date and just recently took the ASVAB again and got 115 GT score, as well as all line scores above 115. Willing to reclass if that is the case and have an RE1 code. Would it be worth it to ETS from reserves and go through a recruiter to go back in? Was just told that the General for my division is not signing any conditional releases. Please, only recruiters or anyone who just recently went through this process within the last few months. I was a career recruiter for 10 years and policies change every month. They will have the latest policy regarding Prior Service personnel such as yourself. There may or may not be a waiting period after your ETS from the Reserves. If there is a waiting period, it could be anywhere from 3 months, to 6 months. even up to a year from your ETS date. Also, depending on the current policy, you might be able to keep your current MOS. Worse case scenario is you&#39;ll go back to AIT for a different MOS but not Basic again. And then there&#39;s the matter of your rank. Usually you&#39;d lose a rank when you transition from the Reserves to Active Duty. Again, it all depends on the current policies. Ideally it would be easier and better to get a DA Form 368 (Condition Release) from your Unit but you stated that they are not signing any at all. Good luck to you and thank you for your service...HOOAH!!! If you have close to 8 you would need a waiver for Retention Control Point. If the general is not signing 368’s then ETS. You can come back active duty. You might even get a bonus.
