SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5226824 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Long story short, getting chaptered for PT failure, Some leadership was at fault, but I take full responsibility on that. I suck at running. I’ve got 9 months left in my contract. Was never a bad Soldier, went to boards, deployed to Afghanistan, couple ARCOMS, nothing bad ever besides the whole PT issue. My main question is, if I get kicked out, take a year or so to better myself physically, Get my 2 miles down to around a 13:30-14:00 flat, then attempt to re-enlist, what are my chances of actually getting back in? And yes, I’m tracking about the new ACFT. Chances of joining back up after chapter? 2019-11-12T02:53:47-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 5226824 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Long story short, getting chaptered for PT failure, Some leadership was at fault, but I take full responsibility on that. There are a bunch of threads on RP asking if they can sign up with &quot;x&quot; code, look them up. Hiring circumstances do change though and your best info will be a recruiter closer to when you try to get in. PT is everything in any part of the Military. As a matter of fact PT is a part of the Kindergarten class in grade school. What games are you playing?? If you&#39;re taking the discharge/chapter to get away (seen it done) from your current Chain of Command - transfer to another (seen this done too) unit. <br />PT wise - you&#39;re going to have to dog the exersize, 7 days a week, minimum twice a day + lunchtime 20 minutes if you are serious. Running will still suck but it depends on what you really want - WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.<br />Oh yeah - stop smoking if you are a smoker. You might also improve your chances if interested in pursuing an education in a critically short field such as medicine , nursing , science or engineering as well as getting back into top physical condition. You need to go through a separation board before being discharged. Be willing to go through any remedial PT the Army offers as you might be able to complete the final nine months of service. Please don&#39;t get frustrated and get into trouble though. Come out an honorably discharged Veteran with your head high. You will go through a separation board of officers and a president. The Army doesn&#39;t want to lose Soldiers with a good attitude and willing to retrain. Be positive about your desire to serve when you go before the board. The most you&#39;ll probably need is a waiver, if that. Go to the gym daily, get out there and run even if your time sucks do it and work to get better and faster. Going into a board and saying I realize my mistakes and am doing this and this and that to change is far better than going in saying simply I suck at running. Show that you are working on the issue and chances are you won&#39;t have an issue with being involuntarily separated. Hang in there and run the cr.p out of yourself. Recommend David Goggins for inspiration. All the best.
