Looking for some input. I did 9 years in the National Guard. I tore my cartilage in my knee in OSUT (have it documented) and ended up having 1 surgery while still in and 2 after out as it got worse. I was service connected at 80% after 3 surgeries and it being determined to causing ankle & back issues in 2015.

I put in for an increase in August because the VA now says the added ankle is worse to the point of needing surgery. Up until monday the claim was set to close with a determination by next.

Last night my ebenefits suddenly had changed the completion date to mid next year and the wording added "(Character of Discharge Review)" This is freaking me out. What is this? I pulled up my NGB22 and I got my Honorable Discharge in 2004. Am I in trouble? Am I going to lose my benefits entirely now? Is this just a dumb mistake or formality? I'm stressed that somehow I never qualified for for disability in the first place and I'm going to lose it. Admin error OR case being reviewed for change in standing would be my best guess based on VSO input.
