I just pray the administration doesn't see this as justification to trim any more from our own military. The bulk of their military is a bunch of conscripts filling out uniforms. I doubt they got rid of any quality. When we reduce numbers, that is the real danger.

Yes, I think it definitely will but honestly if these are inefficient soldiers it isn't doing us any good either way. QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

Probably make them more streamlined and efficient. I think the bulk of their military are conscripts which include a domestic services such as police and fire. They are enhancing themselves with force multiplying technologies like we have been doing. It might be just an organizational shift to meet what the assess they need. In the last few decades China has graduated from a third rate force to a formidable modern capable force projecting military. Probably money will be diverted to other programs like speeding up their 5th generation aircraft development to further enhancing their cyber and space capabilities.
