Civil affairs vs Special Forces?

I am having a very hard time deciding between the two of these selections. I went to SFAS once and was a 21 day non select. I like both missions and feel like i would excel in both places. Any advice or guidance helps.

Do you want to build relationships with foreign partner forces, aid in infrastructure build up and long lasting relationships? Or do you want to focus on targeting?

Go SF while you are young enough to do it. You can always switch to CA when you are older

From my understanding, if you try for SF twice and are Non-Select both times, then you are pretty much done from ever trying out again. But, if you are passionate enough to try again, regardless of the risk, then go SF. If, by some course of bad luck you are Non-Select again, then try out for CA. But when you pass Selection......
