Combat Arms Reclass query?

When reclassifying to a combat arms MOS specifically 11B at what point of training will you be inserted to, granted you have your proper rifle/carbine qualification. Furthurmore, what would the experience be like? I understand that each company has a varying interpretation or AR 350-6 and treatment for PS. Can some of you share your experiences you had of reclassifying to 11B, and please if you can have them more recent withing the previous 2 years or so. Specifically with what E-4s were treated like and what privileges were granted. Also appreciated would be knowledge and wisdom on this matter from Retention NCOs. Just looking at possible re-enlistment options. This one would be if I decided to go NG to finish college and aquire a degree. Would that be at all possible? I.E. Reclass and re-enlist to NG. Lastly, would I be able to attend ROTC at college after I reclassify and was assigned a NG unit?

Much of the answer to your question depends upon details not in your questions. Are you are enlisting onto AD, into a new MOS or are you going into a new MOS within the NG? The AD has special classes for those MOSs for PS reclassifying into OSUT MOSs and they may be looking at putting you into one of those training seats. If you are staying in the NG and reclassing within the component, they will probably do the MOS training internally with your AT being the a major parts of the training, or additional training for you.
