It has never mattered to me if I found friends or a girlfriend. It was never important to me until recently. My girlfriend (she found me) passed while I was deployed. So for the past couple months it seems like something is missing. I know it is natural to want to be with someone I miss but I have spent a lot of time thinking about meeting people. How do you meet someone new and get involved with them when you know you are just going to deploy again. It seems that we are getting in to a rotation where we are deployed for half the year. Just take a chance on yourself and I bet you will be surprised at how any friendships/relationships are waiting for you. Good luck
