I do not agree at all with of him calling surviving veterans cry babies when he has not been in those events.

I can agree with the sentiment that our nation is becoming more narcissistic. This new generation of kids growing up are all being told everyone is winner, when in reality we all lose sometimes. This new generation is told that if they fail its not their fault. They are being told that you can be whatever you want to put your mind to. That's not true. Not everyone who thinks they can sing will be the next rock star. The kids these days think that their goal in life is to be the next tech billionaire or they will become a celebrity or high paid athlete.

At the same time there aregenuine mental health issues that we are not doing a good job in handling. People like him are the reason why we have regressed so far in dealing with this. I am close to someone who no kidding has real issues that require real mental health care. If he did not have family support structure he would be on the streets probably in and out of jail or worse. The problem in our country is his attitude that you are just whining pull pants up stop crying. The brain is a very complicated organ that we understand very little about. The power of the brain can lead to some undesired results if there are chemical imbalances or certain areas not working in sync with other areas.

No surprise anymore. This is just standard right wing demagog rhetoric. The sad thing is that we used to have flag waiving right as the military advocates, but now it seems we don't have friends on either side anymore. We are gladly damaged by our work to let loose your innermost feelings without fear of reprisal. We suffer daily to appease your souls' yearning to express itself even it is to belittle us and mock our pain. Even though you have squandered your opportunity to be remembered for perhaps an exemplary life, there is a child that is growing up with the same opportunity and freedom we have provided with our blood, sweat, and yes even tears and that child will change the world for good so that someday you will no longer need us few, us few tired, battleworn souls, us few tormented men of war. Cast us aside and lay our brothers upon yet another altar of humiliation sir--for you are free to do so. I care only of one judgement, that of my brothers who have fought and bled with me. I would propose dropping Michael Savage into a combat zone or even a combat hospital and see how that works out for him. I bet this guy complains when he doesn't get his drinks fast enough while flying first class or his limo driver is 15 minutes late. I also did a quick "Michael Savage + USO appearance" search and don't see anything, meaning most likely the guy has never even been close to seeing combat. Pick up a weapon and walk a patrol or operate for a year or more in a foreign land and you might see life a little differently Mr Savage. You ain't lived it until you've gone through it and there's no telling how you'll react until it happens. I'll probably palpitate in traffic for the rest of my days cause I got broadsided by a construction vehicle in Pakistan. Wimpy? I know I thought that about myself cause it was a simple traffic accident but in a land where folks like to blow up Americans, waking up in a daze with blood trickling down your face and Pakistanis crowding around your vehicle changes you and you begin to look at things a little differently, the stuff can get inside your head and I can only imagine what folks in real combat must go through. I was first on scene for a suicide where a guy had turned his face into a canoe and the image of him still kicking and the sound of his last sucking breath were awful and something I'll never forget. And that was a relative stranger, what if it was your best friend, your battle buddy? It hits hard so perhaps, Mr Savage, you should stick with what you know--course it appears there wouldn't be very much for you to talk about if you stayed in that lane. Being that the he was born in 42 was not eligible for the draft However he could have volunteered. But as we all know war is a rich man's game fought by poor men. His fainted love of country and his psycho babble have little merit and I feel that as he has never served he should or could embed his ass in the fight and experience what he is talking about. However I would bet he would have more excuses as to why he shouldn't than should. His comments are nothing more than a narcissistic cry of self loathing - thus his name change to savage.
