I don't make large purchases often so I need some input. I have an Xbox 360, but I had a PS2 before so I have no "brand loyalty".

Neither! Best get the most out of BOLC, you are about to be in front of Platoon....your Call of Duty rank dont mean squat when you got real muddy boots on.

Okay, full disclosure, I am NOT a console fan. Any piece of equipment that automatically makes games from a previous generation unusable, is not a good thing in my book. I am a BIG PC gamer and build my own gaming PC's. All that being said, if I were to buy a console from taday's generation, it would be a PS4. It is the more powerful of the 2 systems. It has more 3rd party developer support at this time.

If you can wait, a new version of the PS4 is coming out, if memory serves, at the end of this year. It is called the PS 4 Neo. I am of the opinion that doiong that would be the better option. Especially if you are looking into VR at some point.
