You could, but they may just tell you that they'll slot you when they get around to it. But, since you have a graduation date, you can get a follow on assignment

Lol good luck with that. There is one branch manager that deals with e4 and below... you’re going needs of the Army boss

I mean, you’ll get a wishlist and if they people in those locations you might get sent there. SGT (Join to see)

If you reclassed to go 11B you are needs of the Army for next assignment. You can try and contact your branch manager, but be prepared for them to nicely tell you to pound sand. What you could try is getting on ASK and see what requisitions are open. ASK may still show your old MOS though since you have not actually been awarded the MOS yet.

SGT (Join to see) dealing with branch nothing is ever 100% true till you have orders in hand. Your friend just got lucky there were slots available where he was looking to go.

Your buddy got lucky. I reclassed from 92A to 42A, had a MACP 4187 approved and was supposed to go back to Fort Carson and ended up in Korea. You had a 50/50 chance of getting what’s on your ASK. Never confuse the luck of a buddy as a guaranteed outcome. Good luck to you. SGT (Join to see)
