The CO of our NROTC battalion, Col Gregory Akers, USMC when he retired from the Corps told the University's Leadership 'you have a department for every interest group that exists, except the biggest one: the Veterans.' He challenged the school to make a department for veterans. The leadership thought about it and agreed on the condition that he stand it up, and last I heard that's what he did in 2008.Response by Capt Richard I P. made Jun 24 at 2015 1:33 PM2015-06-24T13:33:33-04:002015-06-24T13:33:33-04:00Capt Mark Strobl767380

CPL Richard Flagg and Fellow Buffs, Here's a great FB link to the current CU-Boulder Veterans Alumni Club. They're doing some great things in Boulder --and have some "re-charged" leadership.

While geography is keeping me away from Boulder, I am familiar with many of the current membership. They are a solid group... Interested in advancing vets' presence and involvement on, and off, campus.

The Naval Alumni is a little more of a social network. But, they'll welcome aboard regardless of your service selection.

Shoulder to Shoulder!

https://www.facebook.com/CUNavyMarineAlumni?fref=ts

https://www.facebook.com/VeteranBuffs?fref=ts
