Daniela needs help, was I wrong? E-mail scam

My Name is Daniela, I am 18yrs and presently in Accra,am the only Survived child of Late Mr Robert who was murdered alongside my mother and only brother last year by rebels.I feel quite safe dealing with you through this medium (Internet) which has been greatly abused, I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest, surest and most secured medium of communication.I know that this mail will come to you as a surprise as we have never met before, but still i will want you to take me like a friend, and glance through my short letter. I am Presently in a church guest home because of wickedness of uncle's and relatives. Before his death he had a domiciliary account here, up to the tune of (Five Million Five Hundred Thousand US dollars) .
Please I need your assistance to get this money transferred to you for my education, investment and to be my guardian before my uncles will get hold of me and the money. I shall forward to you with the necessary documents on confirmation of your acceptance to assist me for the transfer of the money to you. I shall be glad to reserve this respect and opportunity for you, if you so desire, but i do urge you to give the matter your immediate attention it deserves. If this proposal is acceptable by you, please do not make undue advantage of the trust i bestow on you,and your urgent reply is highly needed today. I am willing to offer you reasonable percentage from the total money as compensation for your effort. May God touch your heart and use you to bring back happiness and joy in my life.

I am with the US military, and while I cannot send money, I may be able to send help. If you can give me details of the size of rebel elements in your area, I can determine if we need deploy MARFORAF elements or SOCAFRICA elements to your aid. Additionally, if you are able to provide detailed information on your location it will aid me in quickly adjusting satellite and drone coverage for real time visuals on you and to reduce collateral damage...and to maintain your safety. We are not concerned about the money. Please get back to me ASAP!

While I have not heard anything from her yet...anyone think there was anything wrong in my reply? Anyone with United States Africa Command, just in case this is not total BS?

I got that same identical email brad, Only the girls name was Lisa. I ignored it, but after reading your response, I am inclined to respond to her. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know... It sounds pretty legit to me. I'd help out, but I am waiting for the 10 million from a Nigerian Prince I was promised through his very official lawyer. the money should hit any day now.

This message is one you should automatically DELETE and DO NOT RESPOND. This is a social engineering technique that involves an unsolicited bulk message ("Spam") sent by the sender in an attempt to acquire sensitive information ("Phishing") from you. By masquerading as a trustworthy entity, the sender attempts to lure the unsuspecting receiver (YOU). Responding to the message in any manner opens you to the threat. Some of these messages contain links to websites that are infected with Malware.

You should treat email messages like this ALWAYS as a THREAT.
