Date of rank isn't reflecting what my promotion orders have on my SRB. Would it be an easy fix with a 4187?

I went from USAR to RA in 2019. I was promoted to SSG 1 May 2018, however my DOR changed to 14 May 2019, which was the day I came into the RA. I have my 1506, DD 214 ( from USAR), and promotion orders.

SSG Zachary Kelly - I believe this same questions was just asked a few weeks back and I believe that when you go active from reserve your new DOR is the day you went on orders. I am not sure there is anything to fix. However, I am no expert, try using the search bar to seek out past post related to Date Of Rank. Best of luck, SSG.

When you go from Reserve (or National Guard) to Active Duty, your Date of Rank will reset to the day you entered Active Service. Your Date of Rank is correct.

Calculating effective date of rank for transferring from USAR to RA is outlined in the promotion regulation. Take your promotion orders to your S1 and have it adjusted to what the regulation says. Make sure your DIEMS on your SRB is correct

You should be able to find out from your S1. We sometimes had to petition the Board for Correction of Naval Records (BCNR) to make corrections to records.
