David Axelrod lied about Hillary’s secret e-mail account. Is anyone surprised?

It turns out former Obama adviser David Axelrod totally lied when he told MSNBC two weeks ago that he knew nothing of Hillary Clinton’s secret, off-books e-mail account that she used exclusively as Secretary of State.

How do we know that Axelrod wasn’t telling the truth when he said of Hillary’s secret account, “I was there. I was the senior adviser. I didn’t know that.” Because it turns out he repeatedly e-mailed Hillary on her secret account while he was there as the senior adviser.
Axelrod’s e-mails to Hillary were included in a tranche of roughly 3,000 e-mails released late last night only after a court ordered the State Department to release them.

When MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski pressed Axelrod after he claimed on her program barely two weeks ago that he “didn’t know” about Hillary’s e-mail, he doubled down on his assertion.

“So, if you did find out when you were there, would say, ‘Hey, woah. Wait a minute, guys, should we all talk about this? Would you flag it?'” Brzezinski asked.

“I might have asked a few questions about that,” Axelrod answered.

Except he didn’t, even though we now know he absolutely knew about Hillary’s secret e-mail. Axelrod tried to stanch the bleeding this morning by claiming on Twitter that he didn’t technically lie because “the AP didn’t ask” him if he knew Hillary exclusively used a secret, off-books e-mail account as Secretary of State.

Even after last night’s release of a batch of e-mails, Hillary is yet to disclose to the public roughly 90 percent of the e-mails she says she archived. By her own admission, Hillary and her staff deleted at least 30,000 e-mails. However, because she had the e-mail server destroyed even though it was under subpoena, the public will likely never know the true number of e-mails she destroyed in order to avoid public disclosure.

Who is surprised? When it comes to the Clintons, I always ask myself what would happen if a young soldier did the same thing and the answer is NEVER nothing...so why do we continually see nothing being done? Who else is above the law in this Nation?

I think an hour long online class about OpSec or anti terrorism that needs to be recompleted annually would be a great idea! That would definitely save lives and stop this blatantly unAmerican emailing from private accounts.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member my question is why lie about e-mails? This is only making the situation worse for Hillary Clinton as the primaries draw closer! It will cross a lot of voters minds in my opinion and could dramatically affect the Presidential race. Although she has a lot of money $45 million currently raised, integrity and honor plays a big part for Presidential race! No money in the world can buy you the Presidency in my opinion.

This is what happens when people think they are bulletproof, above the law or when they know that others will cover and deflect for them should something go wrong. Axelrod is a political operative and will say what is needed to protect his guy to the point of lying to our face. Many in the media will cover for him, the president's press secretary will do so as well. There will be some smoke grenades tossed about to confuse and provide cover and allow for time to pass.

Mrs. Clinton should be arrested and prosecuted for destruction of evidence, tampering with evidence, obstruction of justice, and violating a subpoena. She should be held accountable for her actions.

How do we know that he lied and what difference does it make? He's a political operative not any kind of a government official. Makes no difference.

As Trp her emails it's the Dept of State that's clearing them, not her.

I wish I were more surprised by this one. Unfortunatly, it seems that outright dishonesty in the political arena has become, if not acceptable, at the very least expected of late. To the point that I have contemplated running for some very low level position in local politics just to see how outright honesty would play. It would if nothing else be fun to see how people responded to someone not willing to tell everyone what they want to hear.

There is obviously something in the water drank and/or in the air breathed by the Clintons, their inner circle of intimate friends, their outer circle of staff, volunteers, acquaintances, and EVERYONE else who stands behind and supports the Clintons that has caused the collective lot of them to have egregious personality flaws: they all lie pathologically; they all cover up each others' lies pathologically; they defraud pathologically; Bill is a pathological sex fiend; Hillary is the female personification of O'Bonzo; and Chelsea is just plain butt ugly.

And yet this is not going to affect her election as the next POTUS! She was groomed for this since her mother's womb, and the I have all the reasons to believe the Establisment already decided that she will be the first woman POTUS. It is too early to say that this may compromise her winning of the primary! She is smarter!
