Denying a medical reclass (MAR2)?

I’m an 11B, I was injured in my right eye and loss a lot of vision so I was recommended to go through a MAR2 process, I didn’t want to but the packet was still submitted without me, so when I was awarded the 42A MOS and was on orders to fort Carson, I signed a dec statement because I was expected to extend an extra year to my ets date, my goal is to get out the army but everyone that I asked about this situation has no idea what goes on from here, so I wanted to know if anyone has gone through this process or know any insight of what could possible happen with my case?

A MAR2 doesn't require your input, but if you had taken the opportunity to participate, you would have written a soldier statement and been able to ask to be retained in your MOS until your ETS.
When you MAR2 your given a new MOS and an ASI that means not qualified in MOS. Once you finish training, the ASI is removed. Now you have an MOS you're not qualified for and refuse to attend training for, so you're not qualified in any MOS. You'll be given the MOS 09U and an ETS of 6 months after the effective Reclass date of 09U.

So you are trained as a 42A, and have orders awarding it as your PMOS? Assuming so, I can see the following options:

1. You may PCS to an assigment with a shorter requirement (e.g. Korea).

2. You may be reassigned to a 42A position nearby your current position.

3. You may be reassigned to a MOS immaterial position nearby your current assignment.

4. You may be retained in your current unit in an invalid position category (USAR has categories like pending reassignment, I expect RA to be similar) and assigned liberally to details. In this scenario you would probably not deploy with your unit.

5. There may be provisions for early separation, but outside my knowledge.

6. If you no longer meet the SRR for reclass (regardless of the PCS SRR), your reclass order could be revoked, and you could subsequently be separated on those grounds.
