Did any of you attend the Army ASA Radio School at Fort Devens MA?? I

I was an 05H20, after basic, diverted to 05K20. Super environment, LTC Millet was the school Commanding Officer then, so you can tell it was along time ago(65-66). I was on hold for OCS, so i missed out pn a first assignment to Japan. Morse code is easy to learn, if they stiil use it for training.

1965 05h20 school. Went from devens to Vietnam. Retired 1986.

1972: The Army sends a group of students to attend the Navy Communications Training Center (NAVCOMTRACEN) at Pensacola. Then we went to Fort Devens for Target Orientation and Training (TAOT). We found that most of us received somewhat better training than other ASA types.

I attended Basic Morse code from April of 71 to July 71 then TAOT in August got put on Medical hold in Sept of 71

Oh Yes. Devens from 9-70 to 3-71 became a morse intercept operator. then 11 months in southern Japan (Kyushu) and a year in Thailand

I attended ASA Radio School at Fort Devens from January 71 thru August 71. CBMCT and TAOT at Devens. I am from Ohio and I had never seen that much snow before. Snow was on the ground when I got there and I did not see grass until almost April.

I did starting Oct 1974 to Dec 1974 and then deployed to Augsburg, Germany at Sheridan Kaserne. I'll never forget Captain Loudermilk

October 1965 - March 1966! I was a civilian analyst for NSA and joined the Army Reserves (342nd ASA Co., Ft. Holabird, MD.) Great time and made great friends!

By the time I went in 1981 it was no longer ASA, however I did attend AIT at Ft. Devens.
