PO1 Private RallyPoint Member 137744 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have heard many different stories detailing re-enlistments. My first one was at my 4 year mark and I re-enlisted in Veracruz, Mexico in civilian attire. Now at my 9 year mark approaching and the upper echelon chain of command requesting my re-enlistment package I am curious about what others did for it. Did anyone do anything special for their re-enlistment ceremony? 2014-05-29T09:24:09-04:00 PO1 Private RallyPoint Member 137744 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have heard many different stories detailing re-enlistments. I did officiate a very unique re-enlistment on the wing of a C-130 in Iraq. Very memorable. The first was on a 16 foot tactical dish. (made my 4 foot 3 tall commander climb up there :-) LOL). My second was on a AN/GSC 52 by the elevated equipment room and the third was on the roof of a HUB in Afghanistan. The good news is there is a SATCOM theme, the bad news is I'm indefinite and the ARMY really does own me now. LOL. Wouldn't trade it for the world.<br /><br />I have watched people re-enlist under water, on top of utility poles, on a radio tower, and on the back end of a C130 in flight. (we played a joke on the commander by letting the winch out just about 3 inches to watch her scream. LOL) Possibly the best re-enlistment I ever saw. I laughed so hard I cried. :-) Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2014 4:55 PM 2014-05-31T16:55:44-04:00 2014-05-31T16:55:44-04:00 Cpl Private RallyPoint Member 184326 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I personally didn't do anything special for mine, mainly cause I haven't re-enlisted yet. The Meiji Shrine in Tokyo was a favorite spot and quite beautiful. Myself and 3 others all in our Dress Blues walked the long stone path into the Shrine. My &quot;O&quot; was an Ensign &quot;Mustang&quot; who had also been an Airframer. It was a gorgeous day. Wish I could post some pics here. Lots of local people out to visit the landmark so we made quite the show. Very formal. And most memorable. <br />And later my second on the Arizona Memorial. Quite the opposite of the 1st. Quiet somber and full of awe. Response by PO2 Whitney Mulberry-Chaplin made Dec 16 at 2018 1:50 PM 2018-12-16T13:50:17-05:00 2018-12-16T13:50:17-05:00 2014-05-29T09:24:09-04:00
