What are my chances of getting into Airborne after I graduate from 11X OSUT without an option 4 in my contract?

I wanted to get an 11x option 4 contract when first talking to my recruiter. However, He assured me that there would be airborne recruiters at OSUT after I graduate. So at Meps, I took an Airborne Physical and signed an 11x contract without an option 4 because there were none available. What are my actual chances of getting into Airborne after I graduate, did my recruiter lie to me about airborne recruiters being at OSUT so I would sign my contract without option 4?

There usually are an Airborne Recruiter floating around Fort Benning.
If you are that keen, seek them out when you get some free time.

The only way you can get airborne is if you are on orders to an airborne unit. These schools are given as needed. If you get orders to 25th ID then you won't be offered any schools at Benning. If the Army projected the gains needed to airborne units with the amount of those joining the Army with an Option 4 then they won't be a need to entice other Soldiers to go to Airborne. This also includes those that attempt to go to RASP and don't make it into the 75th. They become needs of the Army but they are all already airborne qualified. There are only 5 airborne brigades in the Army. The Army has 32 Brigades overall. So you can see that they may not need to add those outside of the initial recruiting effort.
