Well, yes, it's evidence.

Political propaganda can be useful, especially when targeted toward our enemy the 'Islamic State,' but it doesn't necessarily suit our style as well.

IS frequently publicizes propaganda material, fabricating some their accomplishments or innovations (such as their gold currency, or tax breaks), it helps draw in potential recruits...

But when the U.S. is accused of falsifying intelligence reports, it's a little different. We are supposed to be held to a higher standard, a bar that appears to be lowered to an all-time low.

I just don't know enough to make a judgement, but it doesn't sound strategically sound. I've already lost respect for this administration a long time ago, so by this point nothing surprises me.

If it is now not a crime to have Top Secret information on an unsecured network server then what can possibly be wrong with tell POTUS what he wants to hear as opposed to what he should be hearing! National security is at risk and "Nero fiddles...."

The only thing new is the 50 intelligence analysts that came forward with the report. It has been obvious for years that this administration was only seeing what it wanted to see. Case in point: the Iran deal. Also the release of high value GITMO prisoners in order to close the prison there. Also the precipitous pullout from Iraq against military recommendations and the disastrous results.

The POTUS lives in an alternate reality and demands conformity with his beliefs of his subordinates.

The article itself isn't evidence and I will refrain from jumping to conclusions, but if we aren't getting accurate intelligence because someone (anyone) wants a report to look better, we are only hurting our efforts. In a sense we're only lying to ourselves.

We'll never know what is really going on with this administration if a Democrat is elected, or any main stream politician for that matter--If we want a change we need a loose cannon in the White House---someone that will scare the hell out of the main stream politicians.

Defense Secretary Ash Carter has reminded the Pentagon's senior intelligence corps that they are expected to give him their unvarnished views, amid allegations that the military command overseeing the war against the Islamic State distorted or altered intelligence assessments to exaggerate progress against the military group, officials said Thursday.

Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said that after it was publicly disclosed last month that the Pentagon's inspector general was investigating allegations of skewed intelligence reports, Carter directed his top civilian intelligence officer to reinforce the need for honest assessments, including at Central Command, which oversees the war effort.

When I, and no doubt some of you, use to read traffic in the SCIF, I was keenly aware that: CNN was in the ball park but often with the wrong focus, the public did not know the truth, and the administration and other politicians would use false information to support their personal gain. (We need to vote out all public servant who are in it for personal gain.)

A report I saw from a top intelligence official said that the worst intelligence distortions came in the time leading up to the 2012 elections when the White House was saying that al Qaeda was on the run when in fact they were growing in strength.
