Did the Warrior Transition Course go away?

I keep hearing that I will have to attend the 6 week cycle at Ft Leonardwood since I'm Prior Service . Is this true cause according to AR 601-210 I don't have to.

May be false. When I went through basic training earlier this year, we had an E5 who was prior service and he completed the entire basic training with us.

WTC is gone. Too many zoomies and squids were coming out are up. If you were PS in one of those two, as was I, you go through boot.

AR 601-210 Section III 5-16
"(d) All PS applicants who have had a break in service of over 3 years will attend Army BCT. PS applicants with a break in service of 3 or more years will be retrained regardless of enlisting with old MOS. Break in service is defined as last period of service, to include IRR, regardless of component. For the purpose of this section, for Soldiers who separate, break in service starts after MSO under 10 USC 651 is completed, or when a Soldier (regardless of Service) is no longer a member of an RC (including the IRR)."

So I guess that if it is less than 3 years you shouldn't have to attend basic training.

As a current DS as Fort Leonard Wood, and a member of the battalion which ran the prior service cycles I can confirm
the six week cycles are not happening anymore. And if you have been out more than three years you will attend BCT. Guys with Ranger tabs, Sapper tabs, with long tabs, yes GREEN BERETS have gone back through BCT as result of being out too long. Just the way things are right now. Like previous stated if you been out more than3 years you suppose to. I was out 7 years and didn’t have to so if you recruiter can he can but if you got to go then go

I was prior service Marines, infantryman and switched over to infantryman in the Army, I went from MEPS to Ft. Bliss.

I went through it in 2011 as part of the Blue to Green program as soon as step my first step on Sand Hill they got rid of the Warrior Transition Course I had to go through the full Basic Combat Training Course all ten weeks of it and two and half weeks of Reception with the 30th Adjutant General....

So I ETSd out of the Reserves last year (as a SGT E5, I have 11 years TIS, 5 Active, 6 Reserves), and I have been considering reenlisting (Guard or Reserves). If I miss that 3 year window and have to go back to BCT, is there a separate company or something for other Prior Service reenlistees? Or do they mix you in with all the other fresh first time enlistees? I've also been considering going for Warrant Officer Flight Training (let's just hypothetically assume I qualify for something like the "High School to Flight School" for this discussion), I would assume I'd have to do BCT then go to WOCS? I'm not super thrilled with the prospect of going through BCT again lol, but the prospect of securing a retirement in 9-10 years might make that worthwhile lol
