To the combat zone? Yes.
On patrol? Nope. That is room for one more mag. I am deeply religious in my own way, but even though it was never said in the bible it still holds true, "God helps those that help themselves." Jesus ain't helping you suppress fire or bounding forward. If your plan involves "prayer" as to how to defeat the enemy that is in front of you, you are in a lot of trouble. There is a time for killing and a time for praying. You can't do both at the same time.
Now if you waiting out an artillery barrage that is a great time to pray.

I knew several atheists. We had all kinds in my company going into Iraq in '03. And they were all awesome.
