I never had to live in one, but in the late 80's, early 90's while stationed at RAF Lakenheath, UK our Main Base Supply worked out of several of them.

Korea was the main place, too damn hot in the summer, too damn cold in the winter. Summers no air conditioning at all, winter just a couple af charcoal burning , so called, stoves. Bad way to live!!#!!
