Today its no different, I follow the rules and make it happen whatever it may be. I also value my time and money so getting in trouble was not an option.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 5 at 2015 8:20 AM2015-12-05T08:20:59-05:002015-12-05T08:20:59-05:001stSgt Eugene Harless1152560<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> I was raised to respect authority, and I understood the end game of recruit training, so I didn't have a problem with following orders. I didn't always execute the orders well enough or fast enough to please my DIs ( who does) but it wasn't from lack of trying.Response by 1stSgt Eugene Harless made Dec 5 at 2015 8:53 AM2015-12-05T08:53:28-05:002015-12-05T08:53:28-05:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member1152598<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was never aware I had a choice.Response by Capt Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 5 at 2015 9:21 AM2015-12-05T09:21:29-05:002015-12-05T09:21:29-05:00MAJ Alvin B.1152704<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. Do what I was told when I was told, no more and no less. That way my MTI had little to no reason to ever get on my case about anything. I accomplished that goal pretty much with flying colors.Response by SrA Matthew Knight made Dec 6 at 2015 10:53 AM2015-12-06T10:53:55-05:002015-12-06T10:53:55-05:00SSG Jess Peters4161154<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not a problem. I listened to my drill sergeants on everything. I can't say I didn't learn some bad habits later, but I can say I never called soldiers by their first names. Plus, regulations had my back at work if things got heated between myself and someone of higher rank. Just as a few examples. Really, if you continue doing what you were taught, its fairly easy to follow the rules.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 13 at 2019 5:30 PM2019-06-13T17:30:40-04:002019-06-13T17:30:40-04:002015-12-05T07:54:04-05:00
