Did you find it easy to follow the rules and regulations of the military; when you first entered the military?

No problem at all. Growing up I knew what would happen if the rules weren't followed.

I was never aware I had a choice.

I was all in when I first joined. I listened to my drill sergeants on everything. I can't say I didn't learn some bad habits later, but I can say I never called soldiers by their first names. Plus, regulations had my back at work if things got heated between myself and someone of higher rank. Just as a few examples. Really, if you continue doing what you were taught, its fairly easy to follow the rules.
