Mills sent Clinton at least nine messages pertaining to Weiner's scandal. The email shows how closely Clinton and her aides were following the scandal involving Weiner. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after sending lewd photos of himself to women on social media. During his campaign to be New York City mayor in 2013, Weiner admitting he continued engaging in explicit online conversations with women other than his wife after his 2011 resignation from Congress.

Abedin is now one of Clinton's top aides on her presidential campaign.

The pages of email were released today as part of the State Department's production of 6,300 additional pages of email from Hillary Clinton's private account
