SPC Christopher Perrien - Kemal Ataturk can disagree all they want. The Empire sure wasn't around anymore after the war.

I take it you have not discussed such with some Turks of today. Since Kemal Attaturk did not abide by the end of the war terms and actually fought and held sections of Turkey and never surrendered. There are many Turks today that still consider themselves proud people of the Ottoman Empire which is Turkey. Read up on the guy, quite a dynamic fellow.

SPC Christopher Perrien - I'm just going with what I have read on the internet. And as I am sure you know, they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true.

Considering what was at stake an dht pressures involved and seeing the effects of WW!. It was inevitable even without the assassination of Ferdinand.
Only a matter of time before the Old World Monarchies still in power(led by Wilhelm) , would fight the capitalists.
And WWII was the same people's fight against capitalism and "communism", again.

No I did not SSgt Alex Robinson realize November 5, 1914 was the date the declaration of war against the Ottoman Empire. Was Archduke Ferdinand assassinated in on this day or the day before?
This is the anniversary of the day that the dominoes began to fall on the sides of the British and their allies as well as the Austro-hungarian empire and their allies the Germans and the Turks.
